Kiran Joneja-Sippy, Feng Shui and Interior Decor

Everyone has a different take on success. My definition of Success is different. I do not wish to go into that in this article though I usually like ruthlessly ambitious people and their unending desire for more success.
But when I look at the contentment on Kiran Joneja-Sippy's beautiful face I get take two. She has never been ruthless and now, two statues of ‘resting Buddha’ in her bungalow symbolize the laidback attitude. This is a part of her Feng Shui, Feng Shui that she has incorporated with my suggestions. Laidback and content like these two Buddhas with an ecstatic expression on their face.

That is the way her life is. Besides a happy marriage with Ramesh Sippy the maker of cult film Sholay and first Indian TV soap opera Buniyaad and dozens of other movies, Kiran paints and does interior designing.
Knowing both very well, I can vouch for the trust both have in each other, the confidence in their marriage. A successful marriage that has endured for years is a rarity today what with over 40 percent marriages ending in divorce. I know of instances where even couples in their sixties and seventies have opted for divorce not to mention the other extreme where couples split within less than a week after the marriage!
And it is worse in Bollywood!
But Kiran and Ramesh have remained married and happy for 15 years!
I look at her contemporaries and friends. I have known most of them who started their careers at the same time. Kiran would not want to be in their shoes and I know for a fact that they will give their right arm to swap their life with her. I don't want to talk about their frustration, loneliness, fake laughter and failures.
Ignoring her pre-marriage acting phase that included Mahabharata and Buniyaad where she played Vereravali and Ganga,  I take a look at all the movies she has figured in during the last five years:  Bunty aut Babli, Krrish, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Jab We met, Fashion and Chandni Chowk to China. Almost every movie she has done has been a hit!

But this piece is not about Kiran Joneja-Sippy's movie career. It is about our together venture. We have decided to do some projects together. She is great at interior designing and has been able to incorporate Feng Shui in interior. Interior with Kiran is different. Feng Shui is a part of it and it is so Everyone has a different take on success. My definition of Success is different. But this piece is not about Kiran Joneja-Sippy's movie career. It is about our together venture. We have decided to do some projects together. She is great at interior designing and has been able to incorporate Feng Shui in interior. Interior with Kiran is different. Feng Shui is a part of it and it is so subtle that you don't notice it.
Kiran wanted Feng Shui but didn’t want too many Feng Shui products. Instead, she wanted harmony with colours and elements. This is where I came in the picture with my symbolism. You cannot detect Feng Shui in her aesthetically done house unless you understand the colours, elements, shapes, forms, textures and directions. Giving Feng Shui consultation to Kiran was one of the more satisfying experiences for both of us.
Feng Shui has to do with chi, the positive energy which emerges from the harmony of the elements around you. These elements are not simple earth, wood, fire, water and metal. The colours, shapes, forms and textures around you symbolize the elements. Over the years I have always noticed that Feng Shui principles incorporated in décor has resulted in harmony and positive energy all around. This high of energy inspires magic moments for everyone.
In her words, "Feng Shui blended well with my aesthetics, and more importantly, resulted in an amazing level of positive energy.  This high level of energy has brought in an enthusiasm in all the areas of our life. Our creativity is at its peak, our output is more and this energy has percolated to everyone around. This is why I have decided to spread this combination – Feng Shui and Décor – to people. ”
Kiran parties and moves in high places and we foresee this trend gaining more popularity in near future.
Our togetherness is not a package deal. She will do interior designing with or without Feng Shui. I will give Feng Shui consultation as I always do, on my own. If anyone, in any part of the world wants both of us – Kiran to design their interior and me to incorporate Feng Shui - it is fine with us.
