Is Feng Shui contradictory to Vaastu?

I was told that feng chui (which is Chinese origin) is contradictory to Vaastu and hence can't be applied to Indian condition. Is it true?

My research shows that Feng Shui is more ancient than Vaastu. There are several schools of Feng Shui, and having studies them over the years and having practiced for my clients in several countries including India, USA, UK, Australia, Canada, South Africa, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong, Mauritius, New Zealand, UAE, Pakistan and Srilanka I have observed that ninety percent of Feng Shui is applicable to the entire world. I have identified this 10 percent and do not apply it to my clients.

I also take it Vaastu into account to avoid any conflict.
